Session Studios was born at the confluence of work and play. Our company began as a way to document grand adventures and share some of the most breathtaking and remote pockets of the globe. Today, our mission continues to grow as we maintain a passion for immersive imagery and authentic storytelling.

Session Studio founder, Gareth Tate, first picked up a camera when his whitewater kayaking career was taking shape as a way to share the incredible places that were so inspirational to him.
Over the last decade, he has traveled the world as a videographer, photographer, and wilderness medicine instructor with NOLS.

Where We Work
With roots in the Appalachian East and the Rocky Mountain’s Teton Range, plus a rigged out production camper van anywhere in-between, there is nowhere we can’t reach. And of course, we all have valid passports 😉.
